This Privacy Policy explains how Apex Business Advising LLC d/b/a FamilyResourcePath ("FamilyResourcePath," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit familyresourcepath.org (the "Site") or sign up for our email or text message updates.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your first and last name, email address, and mobile number when you sign up for updates, and anything you include when you contact us.
- Consent records: when you opt in to text messages, we record which message types you chose, the date and time, the page you signed up on, your browser's user agent, the referring page, and the version of the consent language shown to you.
- Automatically collected information: basic technical data such as browser type, device type, and pages visited, collected through standard server logs.
Our calculators and checklists run entirely in your browser. We do not receive or store the numbers you enter into them.
How we use information
- To send the email and text message updates you request.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
- To keep records of your consent and honor opt-out requests.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you opt in to FamilyResourcePath Updates, we use your mobile number only to send the types of messages you selected. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms for details.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only:
- With service providers who help us operate the Site and deliver messages (for example, form processing, email delivery, and text message delivery providers). They may use the information only to provide services to us. As stated above, text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of FamilyResourcePath, our users, or others.
Cookies
The Site does not use advertising cookies. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies for security and performance.
Data retention and security
We keep signup and consent records for as long as you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward to document consent and opt-outs, unless a longer period is required by law. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email.
- Stop text messages by replying STOP.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing support@familyresourcepath.org. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional privacy rights, and we will honor requests as required by applicable law.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our guides link to government agencies and other organizations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, so please review their policies.
